25 years martial arts experience, an earned 5th Dan in any style, an earned Black Belt in a second/third style, written explanation of "your style" including rank requirements to 1st Dan, sign basic statement of faith. Recognition granted by the Shinja Masters and Headmasters Council, a Christian Based organization, is only bestowed upon those that have provided a complete training lineage and dan grade promotion explanation. SMHC does not accept ranks, titles, or standings issued by other organizations, associations or federations. These recognitions are not taken into consideration within the SMHC.
